Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan on medium heat. Add the onions and cook till transparent.
Next add the peppers and saute until completely cooked. Empty the mixture into a bowl.
Heat another tbsp of oil on high heat and lightly saute the mushrooms. Cook off any excess liquid.
Add the beans to a bowl and mash. Next add the vegetables, seasoning, breadcrumbs and the nutritional yeast.
Combine together and form patties into the size preferred.
Heat a shallow pan on medium heat, add oil. Not too mush just enough to cover the base.
Place the burgers in the pan, allow the bottom to brown before flipping. This will take around 4 to 5 mins for both sides.
Now assemble the burgers! You can add anything else to the burger, I added smashed avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, gherkins and a spicy mayo.
