Spicy Gochujang Chips
The only kind of chips you need in your life. I discovered the korean gochujang paste a few months back and I've been addicted to it ever since.These are super easy and quick to make.
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 650 g thick cut chips (either baked or fried) – 700g for thin cut
- 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 200 g blended tinned tomatoes
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp white rice vinegar
- 50 g gochujang paste
- 0.5 tbps maple syrup
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 sprig finely chopped spring onion
Instructions
- In a bowl mix the blended tomato, soy sauces, white rice vinegar, gochujang paste and maple syrup into a smooth sauce.
- Heat the oil on a medium heat, fry the ginger and garlic til cooked through.
- Pour in the sauce from step 1 and cook till it has thickened.
- Toss the chips in the sauce and it's ready!
- Garnish with spring onions
