Spicy Gochujang Chips

The only kind of chips you need in your life. I discovered the korean gochujang paste a few months back and I've been addicted to it ever since.
These are super easy and quick to make.
Servings: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 650 g thick cut chips (either baked or fried) – 700g for thin cut
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 200 g blended tinned tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white rice vinegar
  • 50 g gochujang paste
  • 0.5 tbps maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 sprig finely chopped spring onion

Instructions

  • In a bowl mix the blended tomato, soy sauces, white rice vinegar, gochujang paste and maple syrup into a smooth sauce.
  • Heat the oil on a medium heat, fry the ginger and garlic til cooked through.
  • Pour in the sauce from step 1 and cook till it has thickened.
  • Toss the chips in the sauce and it's ready!
  • Garnish with spring onions
